Trauma Therapy That Actually Works
Specialized trauma therapy using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR for teens and adults who are ready to heal, not just cope.

You've tried therapy before.
This time can be different.
What I Offer
Individual Trauma Therapy — Rockville, MD & Telehealth Weekly individual therapy for adults in Maryland and Virginia using an integrated IFS and EMDR approach. Out-of-network with all insurance carriers; superbills provided, with Thrizer support for reimbursement. A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available — see current availability →
For clients who want to accelerate their healing, half-day, full-day, and multi-day intensives offer uninterrupted time to go deep. Private pay only. Available in Rockville, MD, or for Maryland and Virginia residents at the time of service — non-residents may travel in. Learn more about intensives →
For clients whose trauma, anxiety, or depression hasn't fully resolved through standard EMDR or talk therapy alone. KA-EMDR pairs EMDR reprocessing with a low, monitored dose of ketamine, prescribed independently by a licensed medical provider, offered in partnership with Avesta Ketamine and Wellness. Preparation and integration sessions may be billable; dosing sessions are private pay. Learn more about KA-EMDR →
Clinical Consultation & Therapist Education
Are you a therapist feeling stuck in session, unsure what to do next, or why your clients aren't progressing? I offer individual and group consultation and therapist mentoring & clinical coaching for clinicians at all levels working with complex trauma, IFS, and EMDR. No judgment, no evaluation — practical, honest support to help you grow. Explore consultation options →
Many people come to me after years of treatment that helped them understand their pain, but never quite moved it. They're articulate about what happened to them. They've done the work. And yet something still feels stuck.
That's not a reflection of your effort. It's often a sign that the approach hasn't matched the depth of what you're carrying.
I specialize in trauma therapy using two of the most effective, evidence-based modalities available: Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR. Together, these approaches work at a level that talk therapy alone rarely reaches — helping you access, process, and release experiences that have kept you stuck, sometimes for decades.
I work with a small number of clients at any given time, which means you receive my full attention and expertise, not a template. Read more about my approach →
Who I Help
You might be in the right place if you're navigating:
Complex or developmental trauma, including childhood neglect, abuse, or years of relational harm
PTSD and complex PTSD that hasn't fully responded to previous treatment
High-functioning anxiety — appearing capable on the outside while carrying relentless dread within
Attachment wounds and painful relationship patterns that keep repeating
Grief, loss, and identity transitions that require more than time to integrate
The experience of feeling "stuck" in therapy that's gone in circles for years
Currently accepting a limited number of new clients. My caseload stays intentionally small so every client gets real depth, not a rotating door. Check current availability →
I bring warmth, humor, directness, and serious clinical skill into every session. I'm not a blank slate — I'm a real person, fully present in the room with you, and that presence is part of what makes the work move.
What I Treat
Full schedule. Long waitlist. A track record that speaks.
Integrated, on purpose. I don't run you through a single one-size-fits-all protocol — I weave IFS and EMDR together based on what your system needs session to session.
Small caseload, full presence. You're never one of many. You get a therapist who actually remembers the threads of your story.
Direct and human. No blank-slate silence. Real reactions, real feedback, real relationship.
My schedule has remained consistently full with an active waitlist since I started this work. My clients rarely cancel because the work is real, and they feel it.
I bring warmth, humor, directness, and serious clinical skill into every session. I'm not a blank slate. I'm a real person, fully present in the room with you, and that presence is part of what makes the work move.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
IFS is an evidence-based approach that views the mind as made up of different "parts," each carrying its own role, memory, or protective strategy. In trauma work, IFS helps you build a relationship with the parts of you that are still carrying pain, rather than staying stuck in old patterns. Learn more about my approach →
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps the brain reprocess stuck traumatic memories using bilateral stimulation, rather than relying solely on talking through what happened. It's particularly effective for trauma that talk therapy alone hasn't fully resolved. Explore intensives →
-
No — I'm out-of-network with all insurance carriers, but I provide superbills for reimbursement and partner with Thrizer to help manage that process. See an out-of-network cost estimate →

KA-EMDR pairs EMDR reprocessing with a low, medically monitored dose of ketamine for clients whose trauma, anxiety, or depression hasn't fully resolved through standard EMDR or talk therapy alone. Learn more about KA-EMDR →
